About the project

Early 2018, past midnight on a delayed train back to Edinburgh after a pretty disastrous interview in London, the woman in front of me -who earlier said she was back from a funeral- engaged the conversation. As she told me about her past and the incredible experiences that forged her, I listened, both fascinated and moved.  In my head, it was obvious that I needed to keep in touch with her, as she had opened up, to me, a stranger.  She got off the train before me and left me her name. The next day, I found her contact email.

Her story is yet to be told. So is ours.

This project is ours. This is our voice.
